As per the previous message re higher rep I am a CT3 in Core Psychiatry, and am the CT representative for the School of Psychiatry Operational Board. This involves me attending the School Operational Board meetings on a quarterly basis, where my role is to feed back Trainees’ views in relation to training issues that occur on a deanery wide basis, and to provide you with feedback regarding the board’s response.
In my experience, most problems can be solved locally or via our TPDs, but if you have any issues that are recurring, are not being solved locally, or that you suspect may be part of a wider issue, please let me know.
Additionally, those of you who are Trainee Representatives within your current trust may like to let me know about any major issues that are arising. Even if something is being dealt with on a local/trust basis, it may be useful for me to know what the problems are, as they may be occurring elsewhere and could mean a wider problem.
